  Unfortunately I would suggest consumers beware of Machine Maintenance Company's lack of customer service. There is no commitment to completion date, the owner would not refund for services not started or completed, and their invoice even states "warranties are subject to owner's discretion". My specific example posted below, but cannot recommend this service.
  
  History
  
  On Saturday, Nov 29 I brought a chandelier in to Machine Maintenance Repair to be worked on for a burnt out socket. At time of drop off owner informed me he would have to order parts and I paid in full for the repair. I informed the owner there was no rush but asked when he thought the repair would be complete. He said the repair should take about two weeks, so I verbally told owner I would call back in two weeks to confirm completion before coming out for pickup.
  
  Dec 13 (2 weeks): I called to see if repair had been completed and owner informed me that he had not started on repair and parts had not been ordered. I asked owner if he would be able to investigate and order parts that week to which he said yes, so I ended with confirmation I would call back a week later to check on status.
  
  Dec 17: I called back just to make sure investigation had been started. Owner was not on site, so spoke with employee who confirmed repair had not been started, nor had parts been ordered.
  
  Dec 20: Called back and spoke with owner who confirmed at this time that repair and order for parts had not begun. At this time I informed owner that I would pick up chandelier to find an alternative means for repair. Owner informed me that I could pick up chandelier, but that he would not return my payment. Owner's logic for this was that we had a "deal" and I was in an agreement to pay him for the repair of the item (NOTE: There are no terms either explained or on invoice for repair that would support any form of agreement). At this point I asked if the owner if he could commit to a completion to date to which he said no. In trying to gauge commitment to servicing the repair I even asked the owner if I would have to leave chandelier with him even if it took in excess of 6 months to repair, and he confirmed yes. At this time I informed owner that I did not wish to argue or discuss the point further, but I would pick up the chandelier as I preferred to find an alternative solution. Owner informed me he would not refund money if I chose to do so.
  
  Dec 23: I picked up chandelier from Machine Maintenance. Owner was not on premise and employee was not able to provide a refund for deposit. Employee confirmed no work had been started on the chandelier and no parts had been ordered.
  
  Dec 25, Jan 6, and Jan 16: I sent e-mails to Machine Maintenance asking for a refund for services not performed.
  
  No response or refund to date.
