  If I could give a lower score than poor-fair then I would, however..
  
  I am 22 and have suffered from chronic back pain for about 7 or 8 years. I went to see Dr. Koch at resurgens in Snellville with x-rays in hand hoping for some answers to my suffering. The moment he walked in he immediately said, "you're too young to have back pain" (why do you think I'm here Doc?) and I immediately felt dismissed as a waste of his time. He continued to criticize me for wasting his precious time and for my posture - as if that was the reason for my pain - and didn't even look at my back. He continued to say, "you can get an MRI, but I doubt it will show anything". He spent a whole 5 minutes with me. I cried when I left the appointment because I then feared every doctor was going to discriminate me for my age like Dr. Koch did, and that I'd never find relief. He also criticized me when I said my form of exercise was walking my dog by saying, "at your age you should be running!!" Well, I'm in pain and can't run doc, hence why I came to see you.. I got the MRI but followed up with a neurologist instead, who was wonderful and thorough and spent an hour and a half with me on my first visit (compared to 5 disgruntled minutes with Koch) and went over my entire health history with me. He then diagnosed me as having chronic myofascial trigger points which were leading to my pain and has since started me on a treatment of massage therapy, medication, and at home exercises and stretches. This neurologist has truly lifted my spirits and saved me from a life of pain and depression, while Dr. Koch treated me like a naive child and a waste of his time and was extremely dismissive. If you want someone who is thorough, caring & kind, and has good bedside manner, do NOT see Dr. Koch. All I can say is that his staff was nice, but also seemed to be in a rush to get rid of me. If you are young, beware of Dr. Koch and his age discrimination!!
